We started with our first camp in summer July 2023. We have continued to expand throughout the year and we have hosted camps and tournaments in Christmas and Easter in 2023 and Summer in 2024.
We started with 63 participants and expanded to 330 participants over four days in our last Christmas Camp in both Kent and London.
For the very first time, we successfully hosted our camp in both Kent and London, marking an exciting milestone for us. Over the course of three action-packed days, players honed their skills with personalized training sessions, fundamental breakdowns from our expert coaches, and intense competitive games.
The camp also provided a unique opportunity for players to be selected to represent Richards Elite in the Make it Happen Tournament. From this talented group, 24 players from the U16s and 12 players from the U19s earned their place on the team.
Our teams delivered outstanding performances. The U19s triumphed as champions, while the U16s proudly secured second place. These remarkable achievements were a testament to the players’ hard work, team spirit, and the support of their families.
We have successfully hosted our first ever tournament – WHO’S NEXT in July 2024. The players competed during the 4 days tournament alongside receiving individualised skills and fundamental breakdown with our coaches and other expertise advice and guidance from strength and conditioning coach and nutritionist.
They were also given the opportunity to be selected to represent Richards Elite to compete in the Future Stars International Tournament in August depending on their performance.
They all competed in the final championship game on the final day to showcase their skills in front of 300 spectators, including the Mayor of Medway and the Deputy Mayor of Maidstone. Multiple awards were given out at the end of the tournament.
10 players aged from 15-18 were selected to be in the team to participate in the International Future Stars Tournament.
We have entered our team to the Future Stars International Tournament in August 2024.
Our team consists of players from our summer tournament and around the world.
Some of them have also drawn NBA attention. We secured a victory against the National League team, London United, and competed closely with both the England National team and a top German basketball academy team.
It was an amazing opportunity for our players to showcase their skills and ability on an international stage. We also had supporters around the countries come to support our players during the tournament.
We successfully hosted our first girls’ basketball camp this summer, welcoming 25 participants ranging in age from 9 to 18, with varying skill levels and experience.
Throughout the camp, the players spent their days strengthening their individual skills and practising drills designed to elevate their game.
Beyond the technical training, the camp provided a valuable opportunity for the girls to develop confidence, teamwork, and leadership skills, both on and off the court.
We have been hosting basketball camps for ages 8-12 multiple times last year. The camp environment encourages players to build resilience through challenges and step out of their comfort zone. Besides building their basketball skills, the camp offers plenty of time for fun and friendship, with team-building activities and friendly competitions.
This is our first event that more than 100 participants attended in the camp over 4 days.
The camp emphasised the importance of teamwork and sportsmanship alongside improving their basketball skills.
We have also hosted our first event and more than 200 spectators from our community came and watched our players for their final game in the camp.
